Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Unpacked Event Underwhelms
Samsung’s latest tech event, #S25Unpacked, is over, and tech enthusiasts are left yawns, not applause. The Korean giant unveiled the much-awaited Galaxy S25 series today, but the hype hasn’t translated into wow.
In true Samsung fashion, the event skimmed over last year’s models, quickly moving to the new. But the upgrades aren’t as groundbreaking as some had hoped. The S25 mocks all signs of ‘ultra’ with a seemingly incremental jump from its predecessor, resulting in a collective ‘meh’ from the tech community.
Here’s what we know so far:
- Specs: The S25 boasts a 6.8-inch display, up from the S24’s 6.7. It’s powered by Samsung’s latest Exynos 3000 processor and has up to 16GB RAM. Camera-wise, it retains the 350MP rear shooter but has improved night mode and 8K recording.
- Design: Sleek and minimalist, the S25 maintains Samsung’s familiar design language. It’s available in four colors: Cosmic Blue, Galaxy Black, White, and a new shade, Lavender.
- Price & Availability: Prices start at $999 for the base model. Preorders are open now, with shipping starting late February.
While it’s still early, initial reactions suggest the S25 series isn’t living up to the ‘ultra’ billing. Fans are hoping Samsung has some late surprises up its sleeve to make thewait worthwhile. Until then, the TechTwittersphere is filled with ‘underwhelmed’ and ‘what a letdown’ tweets.
