Chelsea Announce New Shirt Sponsorship Deal With Circle
- The club has announced a one-year agreement with Circle Internet Group.
- The partnership will promote USDC across the men's, women's, and academy teams.
- Chelsea stated that the agreement brings in sponsorship revenue aligned with the club's expected market rate.
A Four-Year Search Ends at Stamford Bridge
Chelsea have finally secured a front-of-shirt sponsor.
The club has announced a one-year agreement with Circle Internet Group. The deal places the digital asset firm’s USDC brand on the front of the playing kits for the 2026-27 season.
Promoting Stablecoins Across All Squads
The partnership will promote USDC across the men’s, women’s, and academy teams. The digital stablecoin is designed to maintain parity with the US dollar.

Chelsea stated that the agreement brings in sponsorship revenue aligned with the club’s expected market rate. Exact financial terms were withheld by the club, but previous market estimates placed the valuation at approximately £50m per season.
Data from The Sponsor notes that Chelsea’s projected fair market value index previously dropped from £50.3m to £33.6m following a 10th-place Premier League finish.
Embracing Football’s Digital Evolution
Chelsea chairman Jason Gannon remarked regarding the agreement: This partnership with Circle positions Chelsea at the forefront of football’s digital evolution. We are two organisations fixated by the future and are relentlessly innovating to be in the best position possible for the long-term,
he said.

Sources at Stamford Bridge said that the club carefully selected the partner due to a shared focus on innovation and future-facing technology. They also noted that the USDC stablecoin is regulated and backed by the dollar.
Breaking the Interim Sponsor Cycle
The announcement concludes a prolonged period without a principal shirt partner. Chelsea started four consecutive seasons without a front-of-shirt sponsor following the conclusion of their long-term deal with telecommunications company Three at the end of the 2022-23 campaign.
During the interim period, the club utilized short-term agreements with artificial intelligence company Infinite Athlete and Dubai-based property developer Damac. Chelsea spent more time without a commercial front-of-shirt partner than any other Premier League club during that timeframe.
Kit Debut and Open Questions
The new branding will make its debut during the Premier League fixture against Brighton at Stamford Bridge.
It remains unclear whether Circle will extend the partnership beyond the 2026-27 campaign or if Chelsea will resume their search for a long-term principal commercial partner in the future.
