Chelsea‍ Green is leaning into her “Karen” persona, viewing it as a key element for providing entertainment and comedic relief in the wrestling world. she recently shared her perspective on ‍her character, highlighting her willingness to embrace any role ⁢that contributes to the overall show, even if it means⁣ being the “loser” in a match.

The Art of “Selling” and Embracing the Heel Role

Green explained⁣ her understanding of her character’s purpose, stating, “I would say my ‍character is a Karen.⁢ I think my role is to provide entertainment and that is in the⁢ form of comedic relief and selling for the girls.”⁢ She elaborated on ⁢the importance of “selling” in wrestling, describing it as “the art of taking someone’s move. It’s the way that you⁤ take that move and you make it look brutal.”

For Green, the willingness to be the one who loses is a strategic choice. ⁤”For someone to win, somebody‍ else has to lose. Guess what? I’ll be the loser if that means being booked every day,” she asserted. This dedication extends to her openness‍ to unconventional segments,as ‍she added,”You want me to pour salsa and⁢ cake on my head? Say less.”

The Financial Incentive and Championship Dreams

Green also touched upon the financial aspect of her role, acknowledging the ⁣lucrative nature of wrestling. “We’re getting ⁤paid a lot of money to look like ⁢assholes. I’m ok with that,” she admitted.

Despite her focus on character work and ⁣comedic contributions, Green confessed to having personal aspirations within the industry. “As much as I talk about ‘winning doesn’t matter’, obviously, of⁤ course, as a wrestler, we have goals. We set timelines for ourselves and of course, one of the goals is always to be a WWE champion,” she revealed. She even has a specific vision for her championship attire: “Obviously as a female in wrestling, I have‍ thought about what it would look⁤ to be in a WrestleMania ⁢or win a championship. So I have the perfect outfit set aside that I⁣ have been dreaming about wearing.”

Inaugural Champion Crowned

In a significant progress, Chelsea Green ultimately achieved a⁢ major milestone by becoming the inaugural champion, defeating Michin at Saturday Night’s Main Event. This‍ victory underscores her‍ ability to not only entertain but also to achieve championship success within the wrestling landscape.
