Chelsea FC has secured a front-of-shirt partnership with American internet financial platform Circle Internet Group, ending a lengthy commercial search that began after the club’s previous long-term deal expired at the conclusion of the 2022-23 season, according to reports from Sport Industry Group and the Daily Mail. Under the agreement, Circle’s USDC stablecoin brand will feature on the front of Chelsea’s men’s, women’s, and academy shirts. The partnership is slated to make its first Premier League appearance on Sunday, when the men’s team hosts Brighton & Hove Albion FC at Stamford Bridge. According to The Athletic, the agreement spans an initial term for the remainder of the season with an option to extend for longer. Financial Context and Commercial Target
While the specific financial figures of the deal remain undisclosed by the club, The Athletic reported that Chelsea was looking in the region of $67.9M-$81.5M a year. Meanwhile, Daily Mail Chief Sports Reporter Mike Keegan reported that Chelsea officials had reportedly been looking for a deal worth around £50m a season. The partnership resolves a multi-year stretch where Stamford Bridge executives operated without a permanent primary jersey sponsor. According to BBC.com reporting by Nizaar Kinsella, Chelsea started the season without a shirt sponsor for the fourth consecutive year, having spent longer without a front-of-shirt commercial partner than any other Premier League club during that period since telecommunications company Three concluded its agreement in 2022-23. Chelsea President Jason Gannon stated in the club’s official announcement that the partnership positions the organization at the forefront of football’s digital evolution.
This partnership with Circle positions Chelsea at the forefront of football’s digital evolution. We are two organisations fixated by the future and are relentlessly innovating to be in the best position possible for the long-term.

Circle Co-Founder and CEO Jeremy Allaire added that connecting with a global sports community mirrors the company’s objective to build borderless internet financial infrastructure. Circle Chief Commercial Officer Kash Razzaghi noted that the USDC branding on the jersey displays an open and accessible future for global finance. Additionally, Chelsea President of Commercial Todd Kline characterized the arrangement as alignment on a global stage rather than a standard commercial placement.
Debut Across Men’s and Women’s Teams
The branding will extend across all competitive divisions. Alongside the men’s fixture against Brighton, the agreement grants Circle a prominent position within Chelsea Women as the team begins its inaugural season at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea FC Women CEO Aki Mandhar stated that the introduction of Circle and USDC to the fanbase supports the club’s objective of facilitating connections between people. Daily Mail reporting added that the USDC logo on the playing shirts will appear in a yellow font to match this season’s style.
