Here are the player ratings and key takeaways from the match.nnChelsea were frustrated by a well-organized Crystal Palace side, with Marc Guéhi to be within one meter of the defensive wall.nPalace looked the brighter of the two sides as Adam Wharton linked well with Jean-Philippe Mateta to force a save from Robert Sánchez while Chelsea struggled to get Cole Palmer into the game and winger Pedro Neto tried to be positive in an overall sluggish opening 45 minutes from the Blues.nnThe introduction of Stephen off the bench added energy into Chelsea's attack as he instantly got past his marker after a break of the ball, before clipping a cross into a perilous area. The 18-year-old Brazil international then had the best chance of the game, only to fire over the bar after taking a bad touch.nnChelsea's best spell of the game didn't come until the final 10 minutes when they made a handful of late chances -- none better than the one that fell to substitute Andrey Santos who skied it way over the bar. But it was too little, too late.nn## PositivesnnEngland youth international Josh Acheampong was a standout for Chelsea in defence, as he consistently matched Mateta to complete an assured 90 minutes. There were also positive signs from Estêvão who temporarily ignited the Blues' attack off the bench, tho he should have done better with his chance.nn- Premier League updates: Chelsea held by Palacen- Sources: Simons favors Chelsea over Bayern, Man Citynn## NegativesnnChelsea registered a shot on target in the third minute and then didn't get another one until the 90th.
