Cher Slams Late Director Peter Bogdanovich: ‘He Was an Arrogant Pig’

Cher stated that Bogdanovich is one of only two directors with whom she had an unpleasant experience throughout her career. She emphasized her dislike for him by saying, “he was an asshole” and added, “I really, really disliked him.”

Cher recounted a specific incident from the filming of “Mask” in 1985. When she suggested revisiting a scene in the kitchen, Bogdanovich reacted negatively. The next day, he arrived on set with an egg sandwich and yelled at her, asserting his authority and claiming he could remove her from the film at any time. Cher remarked, “Oh yeah, he was a pig.”

Cher also mentioned her difficult relationship with another director, noting that during the filming of “Mermaids,” she did not get along with him either. She recalled telling the director that either he would go or she would, which ultimately resulted in his firing.
