Chiang Rai’s Hidden Crisis: Mountain Floods Claim Lives, Leaving Devastation in Their Wake
Revealing the Devastating Truth About Mountain Floods in Chiang Rai
The mountain floods in Chiang Rai have caused widespread destruction, resulting in loss of life, missing people, and a desperate need for food and water.
The recent flash floods in Chiang Rai province have had a devastating impact on the local community, with villagers suffering heavily. The floods have damaged property, left people stranded in their homes, and disrupted communication networks.
A Facebook post by Pimlada Traikhunworakit on August 12, 2024, highlighted the desperate situation in the mountains, where help was urgently needed. The post stated that the area was badly damaged, with no telephone signal, making it impossible to communicate or send news.
The situation in the mountains is much more severe than in the city, with water flowing rapidly, ground collapsing, and houses being destroyed. There have been reports of deaths and disappearances, broken bridges, and interrupted roads.

The villagers are in urgent need of dry food, drinking water, and other essential items. The route to Doi Hua Mae Kham has been interrupted, and schools and houses have been hit by mud, causing significant damage.

Teachers and children are still waiting for help to leave the school, with limited food available. The community is coming together to support each other, but more help is needed to alleviate the suffering.
