Chicago’s Exciting Jeremy Allen White Lookalike Contest: Join the Fun!
Lookalike Contest Held for “The Bear” Star in Chicago
More than 50 contestants gathered in a Chicago park to compete in a lookalike contest for actor Jeremy Allen White, known for his role in the series “The Bear.” The event attracted a lively crowd, cheering on participants as they aimed to resemble White.
The winner, Ben Shabad, a 37-year-old mental health therapist, received a prize of $50 and a pack of cigarettes, a nod to his character, Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto. In “The Bear,” Carmy is a young chef who returns to Chicago to run his family’s sandwich shop after dreaming of fine dining success.
Shabad enjoyed his victory, saying, “This is the coolest thing I’ve done all week.” He was celebrated by the crowd and held aloft with a crown.
The contest featured mostly white male contestants, but also included women and people of various ethnicities, along with a toddler lookalike. The turnout surprised organizers, who welcomed attendees, including dedicated fan Alexis Kline, who described White as “like a Roman god.”
