China-Africa Cooperation Forum Summit Press Center Steals the Spotlight with Groundbreaking Debut
China-Africa Cooperation Forum Summit Press Center Makes a Stunning Debut
The 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Summit is set to take place in Beijing from September 4 to 6. This year’s press center has several highlights that make it stand out from previous years.
The summit press center is leveraging technology to provide high-quality services to domestic and foreign media. At the comprehensive service desk, media reporters can access multilingual consultation, reservations, information distribution, and item borrowing services in Chinese, English, French, and other languages. The LED large screen allows reporters to listen to and watch multiple meetings simultaneously, with the option of multilingual simultaneous interpretation. Additionally, artificial intelligence technology and a green screen virtual shooting system enable reporters to create their own exclusive news broadcast ”digital people” on the spot, with Beijing’s landmark buildings and the interior of the summit press center as the background.

The news center also features a special volunteer – the interactive humanoid robot ”Xiaoqi”. Xiaoqi will work alongside staff to respond to various inquiries from reporters in real-time, providing efficient media services.

The flag wall of the press center showcases the national flags of 53 African countries that have established diplomatic relations with China, as well as the flag of the African Union. The major events of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation are also on display, highlighting the development process of the forum over the past 24 years and the friendly cooperation between China and Africa.
