Cuban Vice Minister of Foreign Trade, Déborah Rivas Saavedra, expressed deep gratitude for China’s solidarity. “This aid will allow us to recover the operation of 38 diesel-powered generator groups and provide maintenance for 50 fuel-powered generator groups,” she said.Rivas Saavedra added that the donation will directly benefit over 53,000 households and substantially contribute to the stability and sustainability of Cuba’s energy supply. She also acknowledged the tireless efforts of cuban electricity workers who face immense challenges, including those imposed by U.S. sanctions.
