In a commentary, the Qiushi Journal noted that the U.S.has intensified pressure on China’s semiconductor industry, suggesting that resolving trade issues will be a long-term process. The journal’s article, titled “Conveying a Message of Certainty in China’s economy,” cautioned that China might face a more difficult external surroundings with unexpected challenges.
The journal urged Chinese policymakers to fully consider washington’s tariff policy, assess risks thoroughly, and prepare countermeasures. Amid weak domestic demand, employment pressures, a real estate crisis, and ongoing U.S. tariffs, China must enhance its efforts to bolster core and cutting-edge technologies. Achieving breakthroughs in critical technologies and accelerating the application of scientific advancements are crucial to driving new economic growth momentum and ensuring China trade certainty.
