Zhang Yixing, also known professionally as Lay Zhang, has become a prominent figure in the Chinese entertainment industry. Born Zhang Jiashuai on , he first gained recognition after participating in the Chinese talent show Star Academy in 2005. He later joined the South Korean-Chinese boy band Exo and its Chinese sub-unit Exo-M in 2012, under SM Entertainment.
