China News Service, Beijing, September 13 (Xinhua) The World Table Tennis Professional League (WTT) Macau Championship has determined the top four men’s and women’s singles. Top seeds in the men’s and women’s singles, Chinese players Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha, defeated their respective opponents to advance.

Wang Chuqin’s opponent in the quarter-finals was South Korean player Zhao Dacheng, who had performed well in the previous two rounds to eliminate higher-ranked opponents. In the match, Zhao Dacheng relied on high-quality forehand returns to start a tug of war with Wang Chuqin.

In other men’s singles finals held on the same day, national table tennis player Lin Shidong defeated Chinese Taipei player Lin Yunru 3:0 to advance to the semi-finals and meet Wang Chuqin. Second seed Liang Jingkun was defeated by Germany after winning the first two games.

Korean player Zhu Qianxi failed to cause trouble for Sun Yingsha in the women’s singles quarter-finals. Although the Korean won the second game after losing the first, Sun Yingsha then completely stopped her opponent with high-quality boards and quickly won 3:1. In the semi-final, she will compete with Japanese player Miwa Harimoto for a ticket to the final.

The other two female singles players from China, Wang Manyu and Wang Yidi, easily advanced in the semifinals on the 14th. The two will start the “Chinese Derby”. The Chinese team occupied 3 of the top 4 women’s singles places, sealing a place in the finals beforehand.
