Chipshot to Bring Pickleball, Golf, and Beer to Jacksonville
Jacksonville to Get New Entertainment Hub Combining Pickleball, Golf, and Craft Beer
Jacksonville, Fla. – Get ready to serve, swing, and sip! A new entertainment complex, Chipshot, is set to open in Jacksonville next fall, offering a unique blend of indoor pickleball, golf simulators, and craft beer from local favorite Strings Sports Brewery.
PGA Tour pro Thomas Walsh, a Nocatee resident, is teaming up with Scott Adeeb, owner of Strings Sports Brewery, to bring this exciting concept to life at 13164 Atlantic Boulevard, at the corner of atlantic and Hodges Boulevards.
The 30,000-square-foot facility will boast eight pickleball courts, four golf simulators, and 25 televisions, creating a vibrant atmosphere for sports enthusiasts and casual fun-seekers alike.
“When I go to a lot of these places, you pay for an hour, but by the time you order, you wait in line, the waiter or waitress brings you out the food and you check out, in the hour you paid for you’ve gotten 30 minutes of entertainment,” Walsh said.
Chipshot aims to maximize entertainment time by minimizing wait times. Guests can scan QR codes to order food directly to their tables, eliminating the need for servers and keeping prices affordable.
Pickleball court rentals will range from $30 to $40 per hour, depending on the day and time.
Another key feature is the partnership with Strings Sports Brewery, which will offer a unique “beer wall” allowing customers to serve themselves and avoid long lines.
Walsh and adeeb plan to begin interior demolition of the existing building in February, with a target opening in the fall of 2025.
Finding the right location proved challenging, according to Walsh. “These facilities are tough to get. They’re 30,000 square feet, they have to have certain ceiling heights. The foundational poles have to be certain feet apart. it really limits your options.”
But Walsh is committed to investing in jacksonvilles entertainment scene. “We’re investing heavily in it. We made a long commitment to Jacksonville, so I hope they enjoy it as much as we will, because we’re working hard.”
