News Directory 3: Do-ho, congratulations on another impressive win. You looked incredibly dominant out there. Take us through the fight from your perspective.
Choi Do-ho: Thank you. My goal going in was to be aggressive and apply consistent pressure. I knew Nate Landwehr was a tough opponent,so I wanted to make sure I didn’t give him any space to breathe. I’m happy with how the game plan unfolded.
ND3: That third-round finish was spectacular. Were you targeting the stoppage at that point?
CDH: Every fighter wants to finish a fight; that’s always the goal. I was seeing openings and landing clean shots. Once I felt him weakening, I went for the finish.
ND3: This is your second win in a row. It feels like you’re realy starting to hit your stride again. Can you talk about the challenges you’ve faced in recent years and how you’ve overcome them?
CDH: My career hasn’t always been a straight line. There have been setbacks. Mandatory military service in Korea, injuries, those things took their toll. But I never lost my passion for fighting. I continued to train hard with my teammate, “the korean zombie” Jung Chan-sung, and learned a lot from him.
ND3: With this win, you’re proving yourself to be a force in the featherweight division once again. Where do you see yourself going from here?
CDH: I’m hungry for more. I want to climb the rankings and take on the best. I called out Bryce Mitchell after the fight. That’s a fight I think the fans would love to see.
