Wildfires ⁣in South America Affect Venezuela’s Western Region

The devastating ⁢consequences of the wildfires ⁤in South America have‌ reached Venezuela, specifically affecting the western part of the‌ country. According to meteorologist Luis Vargas,⁢ smoke ⁣has been detected in the states of⁢ Apure, Barinas, Portuguesa,‍ and Cojedes.

Vargas explained ⁢on his social media account that the southwest winds have carried​ the fog ​produced by burning vegetation in neighboring countries, including Brazil, Paraguay, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, and‍ Colombia, to Venezuela.

The meteorologist predicted that the situation will ‍persist for ‌at least the next 24-36 hours before gradually decreasing⁤ in the country.
