Chonnam National University, Gwangju Area Capstone Design Competition ‘Grand Prize’

[대학저널 온종림 기자] The Chonnam National University student team won the grand prize and excellence award at the Gwangju LINC3.0 Capstone Competition.
This competition, held on the 23rd, is a field-linked program based on a capstone design prototype to enhance university students’ creative ideas and problem-solving skills, and five LINC3.0 universities in the Gwangju area, including Chonnam National University, participated.
The ‘Subcutaneous Fat Team’, consisting of four students from the Department of Chemical Engineering at Chonnam National University, won the grand prize (Gwangju Metropolitan City Mayor’s Award) for their energy harvesting device using a piezoelectric element, and the ‘Dasimannan Electric Team’, consisting of two students from the Department of Petrochemical Materials Engineering, won the Excellence Award (Gwangju LINC3.0 Council Chairman’s Award) for their idea of developing an eco-friendly water self-power generator using kelp.
The Chonnam National University LINC3.0 Business Group plans to support the winning teams of this competition by providing ▲support for participation in the 2024 Industry-Academic Cooperation EXPO and ▲linking with various support projects such as employment and entrepreneurship programs.
