Prosecutors allege that Brown attacked Amadou “Abe” Diaw, a music producer, with a tequila bottle at Tape London. Diaw filed a civil lawsuit in Los Angeles in October 2023, accusing Brown of assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The lawsuit claims Brown “brutally assaulted” Diaw, “beating him over the head” and “ruthlessly stomp[ing]” on him while he was unconscious.
London police initially arrested Brown in May on suspicion of bodily harm.Subsequently, prosecutors added charges for assault causing actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon (a bottle). brown did not enter pleas for these additional counts and is scheduled to return to court in July.
