Christian Dumont, Retired Carpenter, Dies at 70

Christian Dumont of Hem-Lenglet, France, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, February 2, 2026, at the age of 70. He was a retired carpenter from the firms of Bernard Lannoy.

Born to Léa and Joseph Dumont-Merlin, Christian is survived by his brother, Jean-Noël Dumont-Loisel, and his sister-in-law, Densie. as well as his nieces and nephews, Nathalie and Eric Cordonnier-Dumont, Laurence and Laurent Kestemont-Dumont, and Dominique and Marie Dumont-Dupont. He is also remembered by his nieces Léa, Louise, Flora, Rose, and Faustine.

His funeral will be a civil ceremony held on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. At the Caudry crematorium, rue du crematorium. Attendees are asked to gather at 11:15 a.m.

Following the cremation, the urn will be placed at the Hem-Lenglet cemetery at 5:15 p.m.

Prior to the funeral, Mr. Dumont will be resting at the Bouchain funeral home, located at 1, chemin du Piré, salon Tilleul, where visitors are welcome on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:00 p.m. To 6:00 p.m.

Separately, Christopher Dumont of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on March 14, 2021, at the age of 43. Born on July 14, 1977, in Nashua, New Hampshire, to Maurice Dumont and Lise Cook, he was the eldest of three children, with sisters Jaime and Julie.

Christopher Dumont served in the United States Marine Corps, enlisting in 1998. He remained actively involved with fellow Marines, veterans, and the Wounded Warrior Project until his death. He moved to Port Saint Lucie in 2010, where he formed new friendships and worked as a manager at Cobb’s Landing, where he met his partner, Tara Post. He later worked at Southern Eagle Distributing, Inc. For a year and a half.

Also, Colonel Robert Dumont passed away in July 2025 at the age of 79. A memorial service was held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Christ Church in Fairfax Station, Virginia.

Br. John William Casey CFC passed away on December 7, 2025. A Mass of Christian Burial was held for him.
