Christmas FM is returning to the airwaves this November, kicking off its 17th year of providing festive music. The station will broadcast from The Clayton Hotel in Liffey Valley.
This year, Christmas FM aims to raise funds for children’s charities such as Barnardos, Barretstown, Make-A-Wish Ireland, and Community Foundation Ireland. Last year, the station raised €325,000 through its Magic of Christmas Appeal.
Sponsorship from An Post, Cadbury, and Coca-Cola covers the station’s running costs. A dedicated team of up to 100 volunteers works daily to ensure the festive tunes keep playing.
Christmas FM will start broadcasting in late November, pending license approval. The station will also host a competition for Irish businesses, with a digital sponsorship package worth €5,000 up for grabs.
