A new webinar series aims to equip UK healthcare professionals with the latest knowledge on chronic insomnia management. the series, spanning three sessions, will delve into the impact of chronic insomnia across diverse patient populations, explore diagnostic approaches, and highlight recommendations for effective management in clinical practice. The role of pharmacological interventions, lifestyle adjustments, and psychological approaches will be examined.
The webinars offer an opportunity for professionals to expand their understanding of chronic insomnia and participate in live Q&A sessions with expert speakers. The series addresses the fact that while insomnia symptoms affect a notable portion of adults, chronic insomnia often remains underdiagnosed and undertreated in primary care settings.
The webinar series aims to help healthcare providers recognize the impact of chronic insomnia on patients’ quality of life, provide evidence-based advice on treatment options, and support patients through long-term management with realistic expectations.
The first webinar, scheduled for July 24, 2025, will feature Dr. lavan Baskaran,who will discuss the science of sleep and diagnostic approaches for chronic insomnia. Dr. baskaran will also cover QUVIVIQ™ (daridorexant), including its mechanism of action, clinical data, efficacy, and safety.
