BANGKOK - Chulalongkorn University has solidified its role as Thailand’s leading academic institution, earning recognition in global university rankings for its commitment to sustainable development and strong employment outcomes. The university’s performance underscores its strategic vision and impact on education and innovation.
In the 2025 Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, Chulalongkorn University achieved a global rank of 44 and secured the top position in Thailand. The rankings highlighted the university’s contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (sdgs). Notably, it ranked No. 1 in ASEAN for SDG 9,focusing on industry,innovation,and infrastructure,with a score of 99.7 out of 100.
The university also excelled in other SDGs, securing a spot in the top five globally for SDG 3, which addresses good health and well-being. Additionally, it ranked among the top 20 worldwide for SDG 8, emphasizing decent work and economic growth. These achievements highlight Chulalongkorn University’s broad impact on sustainable development.
The QS World University rankings 2026, released June 19, placed Chulalongkorn University among the top 10 universities in ASEAN. It has maintained its position as the No. 1 university in Thailand for 17 consecutive years, ranking 221st globally. The university earned global recognition for its academic reputation, ranking 89th, and for employment outcomes, ranking 64th.
Chulalongkorn University improved across all ranking indicators in the QS WUR 2026, which evaluated 1,501 institutions based on metrics including academic reputation, citations per faculty, sustainability, and international outlook. These achievements underscore the university’s commitment to academic excellence, sustainable development, and global impact.
