Claire’s Accessories UK Closures: Kent Stores Affected
Table of Contents
What Happened?
Shoppers in Kent are facing the loss of six Claire’s stores as the UK chain shuts 145 locations across the country.
Earlier this week, administrators reached a rescue deal, selling 156 stores to investment group Modella Capital, safeguarding around 1,000 jobs at the accessories giant.

However, the deal did not include 145 stores, which are now set to close permanently.
Closing-down sales, offering 20% off, begin this weekend, though exact closure dates will vary by store, The Sun reports.
Will Wright, Interpath‘s UK chief executive and joint administrator, told the paper: “Our intention is to continue to trade the remaining portfolio of stores for as long as we can, while we explore the options available.”
Despite the rescue effort, administrators were unable to find a buyer for these sites, leaving staff facing an uncertain future.
The total number of employees affected has not been confirmed.
