Cardinale’s performances in films directed by Luchino Visconti, Federico Fellini, and sergio Leone cemented her status as a cinematic icon. She is particularly remembered for her role as Angelica in Visconti’s The Leopard (1963), featuring a memorable dance scene with Alain Delon. Other significant films include 8½ (1963) by Fellini, The Girl with a Suitcase (1961) directed by Valerio Zurlini, and The Skin (1981) by Liliana Cavani.
