At the PwC All-Star Awards ceremony held at the RDS on November 7, 2025, David Clifford of Kerry was named the 2025 Footballer of the Year.john McGrath of Tipperary received the Hurler of the Year award.
The Young Hurler of the Year award went too Darragh McCarthy, also from the All-Ireland champion team.Finnbarr Roarty of donegal was honored, providing a radiant spot for the beaten football finalists.
Footballer of the Year Race
Clifford secured the award over strong competition from his Kerry teammate, Joe O’connor, and Michael Murphy of Donegal. Both O’Connor and Murphy were nonetheless recognized with All-Star awards for their performances throughout the season.
This marks Clifford’s third Footballer of the Year award,having previously won in 2022 and 2023. He is now the first player in history to achieve this feat. Prior to Clifford, only Brian Fenton of Dublin and Trevor Giles of Meath had won the award multiple times.
