Choi jae-cheol, chairman of the Climate Change center, emphasized the urgency of the climate crisis during the opening ceremony. “The climate crisis was the most urgent risk in the global risk report released by the World Economic Forum (WEF),” Choi said. “I hope that this academy will share key issues that penetrate the climate crisis and will be an opportunity to lay the foundation for a real cooperation.”
Heo Kyu-wan, head of the Knowledge Network Team, expressed optimism about the academy’s collaborative potential.“We look forward to seeking a joint strategy through knowledge exchanges between all walks of life,” Heo said. “The center will continue to strengthen its role as a climate policy cooperation and public-private solidarity hub.”
