CLINIC Receives Grant for Immigration Legal Service Development in Texas
The Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC) announced a grant from the Texas Bar Foundation. This grant aims to provide stipends and scholarships for Texas-based immigration legal service providers. The funds will allow these professionals to attend the CLINIC Convening in San Antonio, Texas, from May 28-30, 2025. It will cover essential expenses such as registration fees, travel, and accommodation.
Anna Gallagher, CLINIC’s executive director, expressed gratitude to the Texas Bar Foundation. She stated that this support will enhance the skills of Texas legal practitioners. The knowledge gained will benefit immigrant families and individuals in the state. The CLINIC Convening offers a unique opportunity for attorneys and legal staff to work together and identify solutions.
The participation of Texas practitioners at the event will positively impact service delivery. It will strengthen support for immigrant families and create a better network of legal advocates. This initiative aligns with CLINIC’s mission to empower immigration legal service providers. They aim to uphold the rights of immigrants and their families effectively.
