Her son, Sam Sorbie, announced his mother’s passing in a Facebook post Saturday. “it is indeed with a heavy heart that I must announce my dear, beautiful mother Clodagh has passed away after a three-year illness,” he wrote. He had shared a childhood photo with his mother on Instagram as recently as march 30.
“She passed away peacefully yesterday, surrounded by her family in Cobham,” Sorbie stated. “Mum lived an incredible life, full of love and happiness. Her fantastic career, traveling the world, her devotion to her two sons, and her role as the rock of our family – that was her.
