PointFive Launches Cloud efficiency Hub for Cloud Efficiency Posture Management
Updated June 25, 2025
Enterprises grappling with the growing complexities of cloud infrastructure now have a new resource. PointFive, a company focused on cloud efficiency, has launched the Cloud Efficiency Hub. This collaborative platform aims to tackle the costly inefficiencies frequently enough hidden within cloud environments.
The Cloud Efficiency Hub is designed to help organizations identify and eliminate wasteful cloud practices. It leverages the collective insights of infrastructure professionals. More than 70 contributors from leading enterprises have already documented over 200 cloud inefficiencies on the Hub.
This initiative supports the emerging discipline of Cloud Efficiency Posture Management (CEPM). CEPM emphasizes continuous optimization and team-wide visibility, moving beyond traditional, reactive cost management tools.
Matt Walls, a FinOps Engineer at NBCUniversal and a Founding Contributor, said the Hub centralizes knowledge about cloud inefficiencies. He added that it allows him to learn from global experts and share his optimization experiences.
The Hub functions as both a reference library and a practical toolkit. It covers topics ranging from underutilized databases to excessive network transfer costs. It aims to transform cloud optimization into a daily, collaborative process for engineers and FinOps professionals.
Christine Oji, a Cloud FinOps Engineer and Founding Contributor, said she was drawn to the Hub because it addressed a need she recognized in her work. She added that by documenting common waste patterns, the Hub reinforces the value of shared knowledge.
The Cloud Efficiency Hub also promotes a cultural shift in how teams approach cloud operations. It bridges the gap between finance and engineering, fostering a shared language and mutual visibility to reduce waste and enhance sustainability.
What’s next
As the Cloud Efficiency Hub grows with new contributions, it has the potential to set a new standard for evaluating and improving cloud posture. It aims to bring clarity and structure to cloud management in a community-aligned way.
