Salmon is⁢ best known for his ⁣unflinching documentation of the 1981 Brixton riots.Using a concealed camera, the filmmaker captured ‍scenes of burning buildings, overturned vehicles, and the palpable anger directed at police. His footage provides a vital ancient record of the unrest.

One interviewee, ⁣when asked about the cause of the riots, said, “Jobs, money,⁢ National Front, and all the rest, we’d just had enough, so we just explode.”
