Celebrating Padel and a Milestone Anniversary

Club Med has announced⁢ the⁢ first-ever Club Med Padel Cup, a regional tournament series designed to celebrate the growing popularity of⁤ padel and commemorate ⁤the brand’s 75th ⁢anniversary. Padel ⁣is gaining traction as a social and competitive sport, fostering connection among enthusiasts.

Padel⁣ is⁢ more than⁢ a sport-it’s a way‍ for people to connect‍ around a shared passion,
⁣ ⁤ saeid Olivier Monceau, managing⁤ director of Club Med​ Singapore and Malaysia.

Singapore ⁤Kicks Off the Competition

The ​tournament began‌ in ⁤Singapore⁤ with the Club Med Prime Open at prime Padel Dempsey.⁢ The event featured 112 teams competing in 169 matches, attracting nearly 1,000 spectators.

Anais ‌Gomar and⁤ Timote Loew emerged as champions in Singapore and⁤ will represent the nation at the Grand Slam in Bali, scheduled for November ⁤6-9.

Grand Slam Prize and Regional Expansion

The winners of each regional qualifier⁢ will compete in Bali for a five-night stay at Club Med Marbella, Spain, ⁢and exclusive Babolat gear. Monceau emphasized the company’s dedication to lifestyle sports and experiences, stating that the‌ Padel Cup embodies Club Med’s l’Esprit Libre-a spirit of joy, connection, ​and freedom.

The Grand⁣ Slam in Bali will combine competitive matches with⁤ wellness activities, including sunrise yoga⁣ and spa treatments,‍ set against the backdrop of Nusa ⁤Dua’s coastal beauty.

Following Singapore,⁢ regional qualifying​ rounds are planned for⁣ Seoul, Sydney, Bangkok, and Kuala ⁢Lumpur.

Expanding Padel Access Across Resorts

Club​ Med now offers padel ⁤courts at resorts in Bali, Bintan, Phuket, and the Maldives, with plans to expand⁣ to‍ additional destinations. This expansion reinforces Club Med’s position‍ as a leader in premium all-inclusive holidays and lifestyle​ sport tourism.
