CNA has launched a social experiment series titled Meet Me There
, which examines the emotional bonds and shared memories of eight pairs of Singaporeans. The series explores how relationships are shaped by specific locations and emotional truths, testing these connections through a challenge based on memory and intuition.
The premise of the experiment centers on a minimal and cryptic prompt. One member of each pair is sent a note containing only the words Meet me there
, which serves as the sole clue to locate their partner, friend, or collaborator.
To successfully reunite, the searching participant must rely entirely on shared memories to determine where the other person is waiting within Singapore. The series highlights the complexities of these bonds, illustrating that shared recollections do not always align and can be tested by moments of doubt.
Diverse Participants and Relationships
The eight pairs selected for the experiment represent a variety of relationship dynamics, including family members, close friends and long-term professional collaborators.

Among the participants are pioneering YouTubers Munah Bagharib and Hirzi Zulkiflie. Bagharib described the process in a social media post in April 2026, stating that she was instructed to send the letter to test whether Zulkiflie could find her.
The series also features architects Belinda Huang and Khoo Peng Beng. The husband-and-wife team is recognized as the architects behind the Pinnacle@Duxton.
Other notable pairs involved in the social experiment include:
- Musicians Jack Ho and Rai Kannu
- Sebastian Tan and Selena Tan of Broadway Beng
Format and Production
The series is based on a television format originally developed by Nippon TV. By adapting this format, CNA Insider focuses on the intersection of geography and emotion, using the city of Singapore as the backdrop for these personal tests of memory.
The production focuses on the internal experience of the participants as they navigate the city, uncovering how the places they have visited together define their current relationships.
