CNN’s domestic FAST channel, CNN Headlines, debuted a new weekday schedule on Monday, August 18, 2025, running from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. ET.The lineup features a mix of live news and curated content,including CNN Headline Express hosted by Brad Smith,ICYMI (In Case You Missed It),and American Pulse,showcasing reports from CNN affiliates nationwide. This relaunch is a key part of CNN’s broader strategy to invest in its FAST programming, complementing its existing linear, digital, mobile, podcast, and soon-to-launch streaming offerings.
Further demonstrating this commitment to digital products, Gunnar Wiedenfels, CEO of the forthcoming Warner Bros.Discovery networks spin-off,highlighted “a pretty significant financial commitment” despite industry trends. The BBC News Komla Dumor Award for African journalists was awarded to Godwin Asediba of Ghana’s TV3. Named in memory of the late Ghanaian broadcaster Komla Dumor, the award provides Asediba with a three-month placement with BBC news teams in London, offering a platform to amplify underrepresented voices.
