After the sinking of the trawler in the Bay of Bengal, the body of another fisherman has been found on the coast of Cox’s Bazar. Mohammad Osman Ghani, Sea Safe Lifeguard supervisor, informed about the recovery of the body from Qutubdia Para beach, Rorbar, today.

Although the identity of the body has not been confirmed, it is believed to be one of the missing trawlers in the Bay of Bengal. Earlier, on Friday and Saturday, the bodies of five other fishermen were found in different places on the beach.

In this regard, Delwar Hossain, General Secretary of the Regional Fishing Boat Owners Association, said, ‘at least 70 fishermen including eight fishing trawlers who went fishing in the sea due to hostile weather were missing. Six bodies have been recovered so far. There is no telling what happened to the other fishermen.’

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station Machiur Rahman said, ‘After receiving information from the beach workers and lifeguard workers, the police recovered the body and sent it to the Sadar District Hospital mortuary.’
