Emergency Response at Pichilemu Hospital After TV Explosion
Firefighters from the Pichilemu commune responded to an emergency at the main spa hospital in the region, where a television explosion in one of the hospital rooms posed a fire threat.
The incident prompted the evacuation of 22 patients, a carer, and 6 officers on duty due to the high levels of toxic content and accumulating smoke. The patients were relocated to other parts of the hospital to ensure their safety.
Following the crisis, the hospital section underwent a thorough cleaning, and the patients were returned to their respective rooms once it was deemed safe. The response efforts were a collaborative effort between volunteers from the First and Third Pichilemu Fire Company, Samu, Carabineros, Citizen Security, Provincial Emergency Manager, and Community Emergency Manager.
