Wayne Rooney’s Romantic Side Revealed by Coleen

Coleen Rooney shared that her husband, Wayne Rooney, has a surprising romantic nature. During her appearance on “I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here,” she told fellow contestant GK Barry that Wayne writes her love poems.

Coleen explained, “Wayne’s always wrote me poems.” She elaborated that he would write on hotel notepads and secretly place them in her bag. She recalled getting these little poems when they returned home, saying, “They’re nice to keep, but I can’t remember the last time he gave me one…”

In the Bush Telegraph, she reflected on their relationship. “He is romantic in ways. We’re not the lovey-dovey couple in public, but little things like that keep the relationship alive,” she said.

Wayne and Coleen met as teenagers during his time at Everton. They got engaged at a young age and married in June 2008. They are parents to four sons: Kai, Klay, Kit, and Cass.

Their relationship has faced challenges, particularly from media scrutiny and Wayne’s past mistakes. Coleen noted Wayne struggled with fame and would have preferred to focus solely on football.

Despite difficulties, Coleen reaffirmed their commitment: “There’s always been love still there. We have been happy after all those years… we’re a team.”

While Coleen is in Australia, Wayne continues as the head coach of Plymouth Argyle, who currently sits 18th in the Championship.
