Collège Rivier has been named a finalist in the 9th edition of the Prix de l’Innovation en éducation for its project titled Réinventer l’expérience scolaire en milieu hétérogène
(Reinventing the school experience in a heterogeneous environment).
The awards are organized by the Fédération des établissements d’enseignement privés (FEEP) in partnership with la Personnelle. The competition recognizes innovative initiatives within the private education network that aim to transform the educational experience for both students and staff.
The 2026 edition of the awards saw a record number of entries, with 59 schools from all regions of Quebec submitting initiatives. FEEP stated that the level of participation demonstrates the creativity and excellence driving the private school network.
The winners of the competition were scheduled to be announced during the Gala des Prix de l’Innovation on May 6, 2026, at the Assemblée nationale in Québec.
Award Categories and Scope
The Prix de l’Innovation en éducation evaluates projects across several specialized categories to identify advancements in the school environment. These categories include:
- Student well-being at the secondary level
- Staff well-being across preschool, primary, and secondary levels
- Professional development for personnel in preschool, primary, and secondary education
Other finalists recognized in the competition include Collège Ville-Marie, Séminaire de Chicoutimi, Collège mariste de Québec, Académie Saint-Louis, and Collège de Lévis in the secondary student well-being category. In the staff well-being category, finalists included Académie des Sacrés-Cœurs, Collège Saint-Hilaire, Collège Ville-Marie, and Collège Durocher Saint-Lambert.
the École Trilingue Vision Rivière-du-Loup and Collège Durocher Saint-Lambert were named finalists for their initiatives regarding the professional development of personnel.
