Colorado Golf Hall of Fame Welcomes Six New Inductees This Weekend
The Colorado Golf Hall of Fame will induct six new members this weekend, marking its 51st class. Three are recognized for their accomplishments on the course:
- Wyndham Clark – A Denver native, he won the 2023 U.S. Open.
- Jennifer Kupcho – Born in Littleton, she won the LPGA’s 2022 Chevron Championship.
- Gene Torres – From Trinidad, he triumphed at the Colorado Open Championship in 1972.
Jon Rizzi, the Hall of Fame Executive Director, praised their achievements, stating it was time for Torres to be honored despite his passing almost 20 years ago.
The new inductees also include three business leaders:

Pat Hamill – A homebuilder who founded Green Valley Ranch Golf Club and supports youth golf initiatives through the First Tee program. He has organized charity tournaments that have raised millions for nonprofits.

Joe Assell – The founder and CEO of Golftec, the world’s largest golf instructor and club fitter. He started Golftec in 1995, which now includes 260 locations globally and has provided over 18 million lessons.
- George Solich – He co-founded the Solich Caddie and Leadership Academy to teach leadership through golf caddying. He has also contributed significantly to the Colorado Golf Foundation, supporting youth programs.
The induction ceremony will take place at the Hyatt Regency DTC this Sunday, increasing the Hall of Fame’s membership to 154.
