Los Angeles — The Sean “Diddy” Combs sex trafficking trial took a dramatic turn Tuesday with testimony from Capricorn Clark, his former global brand director at Bad Boy Entertainment.Clark claimed the music mogul kidnapped her at gunpoint, forcing her to participate in a plot to kill rapper Kid Cudi.
ClarkS testimony, delivered during the trial’s third week, aims to bolster prosecutors’ claims that Combs ran a two-decade-long racketeering conspiracy. They allege Combs used intimidation and security personnel to control individuals and get what he wanted. Combs has pleaded not guilty to the charges, which include accusations of abuse against his former girlfriend, Casandra Ventura, known professionally as Cassie, and others.
The alleged incident occured in December 2011. Kid Cudi, whose legal name is Scott Mescudi, testified days prior that Clark contacted him from a car outside his residence. Cudi said Clark told him Combs was enraged by Cudi’s relationship with Cassie.Clark claimed Combs had kidnapped her and forced her to drive with him to Cudi’s home.
Clark testified that Combs arrived at her home that morning armed and demanded she accompany him, stating, “We’re going to kill cudi.” They drove to Cudi’s Los Angeles home in a black Cadillac. Clark remained in the car, calling Cassie while Combs and a security aide allegedly entered Cudi’s residence.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Mitzi Steiner questioned Clark about her intermittent employment with Combs from 2004 to 2018. Clark recounted that on her first day, Combs and a security member took her to Central Park late at night and questioned her about her past work with other rappers.
Clark testified that Combs threatened to kill her if her previous work for rival rappers became an issue. She also described an incident weeks into her employment when she was accused of stealing missing diamond jewelry. She was allegedly subjected to repeated lie detector tests over five days in Manhattan, with the examiner threatening to throw her in the East River if she failed.
Clark said she was eventually allowed to return to work.
Combs, 55, faces a potential sentence of 15 years to life in prison if convicted.
