Comfiarte Unveils Innovative Approach to Early Childhood Care: A Glimpse into Comfacauca’s Comprehensive Program
Comfiarte: Strengthening Family Ties and Promoting Children’s Development
It seeks to strengthen family ties, promote children’s development and have a positive impact on the lives of families who need it most.
The Center for Comprehensive Family Care (CAIF) and the Comfacauca Peace Nests in the department, participated in Comfiarte, an event organized by the Comfacauca Comprehensive Early Childhood Care Program (AIPI), with the aim of publicizing the developments and children’s progress within the program.
The components deal with aspects such as health and nutrition, dance, music, psychomotor skills, pedagogy, artistic and corporate expression, as well as bilingualism, initiatives that are part of the pedagogical processes of Nidos de Paz and the CAIF, designed to produce a positive impact on families in vulnerable situations.
At the CAIF, the event was attended by 300 boys, girls, and their families, who enjoyed interactive activities designed to strengthen relationships within the home and highlight the importance of comprehensive education. The day started with a Children’s Parade, where the little children dressed as traditional Holy Week figures, such as cargueros, sahumadoras, moqueros, and altar boys. This initial activity enabled children and their families to connect with the cultural heritage of the region.
Following that, attendees toured a series of interactive stalls, where parents and children shared learning experiences through demonstrations of gastronomy, dance, music, and other artistic expressions from the region.

Let’s live our Holy Week, led by preschoolers, an activity that connects children with Popayán’s cultural heritage.

Through activities like this, we try to strengthen family ties, promote children’s development and have a positive impact on the lives of families who need it most,” said Bolaños.

Fauna and flora are increasingly familiar to children.
Comfiarte stood out as a successful event, where families from Popayán, Santander de Quilichao, Villa Rica, Puerto Tejada, and Guapi had the opportunity to share and explore various artistic expressions. These activities not only promoted the integral development of the participants but also reinforced the sense of community and the importance of culture in the education of the little ones. Through these practices, Comfacauca continues to reaffirm its commitment to the welfare and education of families in vulnerable situations.
