[서울=뉴시스] Reporter Kwon Hyuk-jin = As the Pet Me tribe (Pet+Me), which evolved from the Pet Fam tribe that considers pets as family, emerges as the main consumer group in the pet market, related industries are making various attempts to strengthen their competitiveness.

According to the industry on the 30th, AI Poppet, which operates the AI-based pet health check service TT Care, has formed an official partnership with Peerfree, an American animal behavior education organization, for the first time in Asia, and will officially launch Peerfree Korea on the 31st.

PeerFree is an organization founded by American veterinarian Marty Becker, and is a specialized behavioral education business organization for improving companion animal welfare. It understands the fear, anxiety, and stress that animals experience in unfamiliar environments and teaches desirable communication methods with animals based on this.

AIPOPETS expects that there will be an increase in demand for peer-free education certification from various pet industry workers such as veterinarians and groomers. Peer-free plans to provide various educational materials to pet owners so that they can easily understand and practice the peer-free philosophy.

Pet hotel services that allow you to relax with your pets are also becoming more advanced.

The KyoWon Group has entered the pet hotel business with Kinok, a pet-friendly hotel for travelers with pets.

Kinok, which is designed to be at the eye level of pets, has various facilities for pets. With a total area of 7,000㎡, 3 floors above ground and 2 floors underground, the existing ‘Sweet Hotel Gyeongju’ was completely renovated and all 34 rooms were converted into pet-specific rooms.

It also offers a 2,500-square-foot outdoor pet park, an indoor pet park, a pet kindergarten, a pet grooming salon, pet boarding, and a pet retail shop.

Large shopping malls are also trying to attract pet-friendly travelers by offering pet-friendly services.

Time Terrace Dongtan is allowing pets to enter about 70 stores, excluding F&B, starting this month in an effort to attract people who shop with their pets. The shopping mall has also provided pet waste bags and wet wipes throughout the mall to make shopping more convenient.

We also have policies in place for customers who are reluctant to bring pets and for children.

Pets are not allowed in areas visited by infants or dangerous areas, and guardians must hold them when using customer experience facilities and rest facilities. When moving between floors, you must use a dedicated elevator with a ‘PET ZONE’ sign attached, and you must follow pet etiquette and rules, such as having guardians personally clean up after your pet.
