San Jose Firefighters Halt Vegetation Fire ‍Near Communications Hill

San Jose⁢ firefighters‌ responded to⁢ a vegetation​ fire Sunday afternoon near Communications hill, according to the San jose ⁣Fire Department.The ‌two-acre‌ blaze, which started near Kurte ⁣Park, was reported at 4:21 p.m.

Authorities initially⁣ classified⁤ the incident as‌ a Tier‌ 1 fire. However, challenging access prompted an upgrade to⁢ Tier ⁢2 at 4:55 p.m.

Firefighters⁢ stopped the forward progress of the flames at 5:10 p.m. Authorities had asked people to avoid the area,⁢ as the fire‌ affected ⁢traffic.
