TAMPA, Fla. – A video of a Florida man wrestling an alligator in a residential backyard has gone viral, sparking a heated debate about responsible wildlife interaction.
The footage, captured by a neighbor and shared on social media, shows the unidentified man grappling with the reptile in a shallow pool of water. The man, seemingly unfazed, manages to pin the alligator’s head underwater for several seconds before releasing it.
While some viewers praised the man’s bravery and speedy thinking, others expressed concern for both the man’s safety and the alligator’s well-being.

Wildlife experts echoed these concerns, emphasizing the unpredictable nature of alligators and the potential for serious injury.
