Kazuyoshi Akiyama and the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra have performed together on many occasions since the orchestra’s founding. At the same time, Mr. Akiyama is a master who has supported Japan’s postwar orchestra world and made a major contribution to the development of classical music and orchestra culture.

The Tokyo Symphony Orchestra is now calling on all domestic orchestras that he has held titles to create and sell a commemorative hand towel to celebrate his 60 years as a conductor.

The “Kazuyoshi Akiyama 60th Anniversary of Conducting Career Commemorative Hand Towel” will be released on Saturday, September 21, 2024. Pre-orders are now available starting today.
