Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner Jeff⁢ Rueckgauer said the project has ‍been ‍decades in the making.rueckgauer added that the goal is to create a welcoming ⁤space for ‍everyone.

Work will commence on the median of Connecticut Avenue, stretching‍ as far north as T Street, near the Washington⁤ Hilton. The D.C. department of Transportation (DDOT) said the most substantial transportation effects are anticipated to begin in July.
