Building an International Exchange Platform
The First Houston International Expo
The South American International Trade Center, established for 22 years, is set to unveil the first Houston International Expo at the Hilton Hotel in the city center on October 30. The event will be attended by representatives from the federal government, city government, and various countries, including Consul General Hughes.
Hundreds of diplomatic representatives and business people will gather to discuss ways to strengthen cultural, economic, and scientific exchanges. This grand meeting aims to foster a deeper understanding and cooperation among nations.
A Personal Journey
I would like to express my gratitude to my colleagues at the South American News Group and all the business people who have supported me throughout my journey. My wife and I came to Belmont, a small oil town in Texas, and received free tuition from Lamar State University to complete our master’s degree.
Our journey began on a night of heavy rain, and we settled in a shabby apartment in Houston. We, like thousands of international students, shouldered the warm expectations of our families and parents, working hard to achieve our goals.
Building the International Stage
Over the years, we have received continuous support and encouragement from everyone in our journalism and financial undertakings. We have worked together to build the Houston International Stage, a common pride and contribution to our community.
The first Houston International Expo is a testament to our collective efforts. We aim to strengthen economic, cultural, and scientific exchanges, addressing the challenges we face today.
