Cork Set to Transform into a Street Circus Wonderland This September
Cork, Ireland – Get ready to be amazed! From september 1st to 7th, Cork city will be transformed into a vibrant playground for street performers and art enthusiasts alike, thanks to the inaugural UpDown Circus festival. This contemporary celebration of circus and street art is the brainchild of Noelle O’Regan, known affectionately as Leeside‘s street circus queen, and her husband, Cormac Mohally, formerly of the acro-comedy duo Lords Of Strut.
Under the umbrella of their newly formed institution, Pitch’d Productions, UpDown Circus promises a week of captivating performances and unique artistic experiences. The festival will feature both indoor and outdoor events, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
One of the indoor highlights includes an industry panel discussion at The Everyman Theater on Saturday, september 6th, at 11 am. Hosted by Promenade,the discussion aims to explore new artistic experiences in circus,street performance,and other disciplines.
Dance firkin Crane in Shandon will also host “Runners” from the performance group Hippana Maleta on Saturday, September 6th, at 8 pm. This show features Alex Allison and Jonas Schiffauer showcasing their juggling skills on treadmills, set against the acoustic backdrop of
