UCD Marian secured an 81-75 victory over Flexachem KCYMS in a hard-fought National Cup game. Ioannis Liapakis’ team built a lead of as much as 16 points, but faced a strong comeback from Killorglin in the fourth quarter, tying the game at 69-69.
Crucial scores from Sean Fitzpatrick and Daniel Conway in the final minute sealed the win for Marian, propelling them into the next round. This marks their second win against Killorglin this season as UCD Marian aims to end a 14-year drought for the National Cup title.
Limerick Celtics Dominate St. Vincent’s
Limerick Celtics avenged a recent Domino’s Men’s Super League loss to St. Vincent’s with a resounding 112-89 victory, earning their place in the final four of the National Cup. Celtics established a commanding lead early, scoring 60 points in the first half with remarkable three-point shooting (53%).
