Details of the Attack

At ‌approximately 9:00 PM ⁤on Monday, emergency services where‌ alerted by concerned ‍neighbors who witnessed Stella Gallagher and her husband, ‌Brian Gallagher, ‍62, fleeing their residence onto the street. Paramedics provided⁢ nearly an hour of on-site‍ medical intervention to ⁤Stella gallagher before transporting ⁤her to Cork University Hospital. Despite their efforts, she was pronounced dead⁢ at‌ the ⁢hospital before midnight. Brian Gallagher ⁢underwent emergency surgery at ⁢Cork University Hospital on Monday night and remains in serious but stable condition as of today, November​ 19, 2025.

Suspect in Custody

A 25-year-old man ‍was arrested ⁣at ​the scene and is ‍currently being detained at a Garda station in Cork city, ‌where ‌he is undergoing questioning. Authorities have not yet released the suspectS name.
