Cormac Boylan, Beloved Husband and Father, Dies at 76
Cormac Boylan, of Dundalk Road, Castleblayney, Monaghan and Westport, Mayo, passed away peacefully on , at Mayo University Hospital in Castlebar, Co. Mayo, following a short illness. He was 76 years old.
Born in Carrickanoran, Greaghglass, County Monaghan, Mr. Boylan is remembered by his family and friends as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He received what his family described as “wonderful care and attention” from the medical staff at M.U.H. Castlebar during his illness.
He is survived by his wife, Celine; his children, Helena, Colm, Patrick, Malachy, and Gerard; and his grandchildren, Daniel, Ella, Conor, Cormac, Alannah, and David. He is also survived by his sister, Brighid, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Mr. Boylan was predeceased by his father, Patrick Boylan; his mother, Mary Boylan, of Carrickanoran, Greaghglass, Co. Monaghan; his sister, Alice Niland; and his brother, Frank Boylan.
Reposing will take place at Belclare, Westport, Co. Mayo. The house will be private to family only. Removal to St. Macartan’s Cathedral, Monaghan town, County Monaghan, is scheduled for , arriving at 6 p.m. (Eircode: H18W863).
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. On , at St. Macartan’s Cathedral, followed by burial in Latlurcan cemetery, Monaghan.
The family has requested that family flowers be omitted. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Parkinson’s Association of Ireland.
